Rawtopia is a café serving sustainably-grown, organic food located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The project consisted of a 3,000 square-foot design renovation of a 1960s-era building, including new mechanical, plumbing, electrical and lighting systems. The architecture includes a large seating area with a mix of custom-fabricated booth seating and open seating; a coffee bar; open-concept kitchen; point-of-sale; and ADA-compliant restrooms. In addition, Sparano + Mooney Architecture coordinated all the furniture selections and created the branding and identity of the space including the restaurant’s logo, menu and staff uniform design. The project schedule required a fast turnaround with design, permitting and construction being completed within a 9-month period.
